July 27, 2012, the Annual Nutrition Month Celebration for the town of Rosales took placed at the Robert Estrella Stadium which was attended by delegates from both private and public schools. In accordance with the event, several competitions were held such as Cooking Festival and Poster/Slogan Contests in relevance with the theme of the Department of Health (DOH), “Pagkain ng Gulay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain.” Overall champions were crowned to be IFI-CHILD for the private schools and the Rosales National High School for the public schools.

The celebration was organized by Alejandrino Dasig Jr, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer together with the Municipal Nutrition Committee headed by the Mayor, Hon. Ricardo V. Revita and the Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Elizabeth S. Alimorong.

The nutrition month is one of the utmost program of the Department of Health (DOH) in which promotion of the prevention of diseases are discussed in creative mediums to students of both elementary and high school, in this manner, children will be able to comprehend and appreciate the importance of proper nutrition and incorporate it to their daily lives. In response with the requirements of the DOH, Rosales conducts the celebration yearly to promote as well celebrate the healthy lifestyles of its constituents.
